1) Introduction: should it be south of 15S for the “40% of the total anthropogenic inventory…south of 30S”?
2) In section “Enhanced Southern Ocean Argo” perhaps also mention the typical lifespan of Argo floats and if this is improving.

1) The authors email addresses are in an inconsistent format
2) Final sentence of first paragraph in introductory section “Rationale and Key Science Challenges”: “Earth system” should be “earth’s system”.
3) In the section “A Vision for a Southern Ocean Observing System”, the first bullet point should begin with a lower case “s”.
4) The acronym “AUV” is not defined.
